Francesco Tomè — Traversata Apuana No-Stop
Francesco Tomè talks about his adventure on the complete traverse of the Apuan Alps, completed in May 2026: a route that covered about 17 peaks, over 105 km and 8,600 m of elevation gain (9,200 m of descent), tackled in 36 hours non-stop. An extremely technical itinerary where you have to climb more than run, and which perfectly reflects the spirit of skyrunning. Francesco completed the traverse together with Niccolò Chirici, his physiotherapist, but also a great friend and talented athlete.
The director of the documentary dedicated to the project, set for release in January 2027, will also be present during the meeting, and a teaser of the film will be screened as a preview. Alongside the director, Marco Giudici, president of Apuane Libere, will also speak; he co-founded the association with Francesco, which for several years has been fighting for the defense and protection of the Apuan Alps, devastated every day by uncontrolled marble extraction.
